Nansana Division Coalition Against Drugs had the chance to visit one of the Health Centers in the Division called Nabweru Health Centre III and was able to interact with the in Charge Doctor and other medical workers on drug challenges and their counter measures.
The medical in charge Nabweru Health Center III Dr. Hussein Mwanje has urged Ugandans to desist from consuming drugs like marijuana as they put their health at Risk and that he experienced an increment of drug consumption during Covid- 19.
When youths consume these drugs they damage their brain and the internal organs.

ICUDDR, INL, ISSUP and NRC are partnering to host a global in person and online event from 11th – 16th May 2022 in Abu Dhabi, UAE. We welcome abstract submissions for sub-plenary and poster presentations at the event. DEADLINE EXTENDED!
The Annual Meeting will be held on March 2-5 2022, and is currently scheduled to take place at the Edinburgh International Conference Center in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Uganda Has now officially started training in harm reduction and has created Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) Clinics in one of its National referral Mental Hospital Alcohol and Drug Unit.
The training is ongoing for new and existing staff to run this new facility and MAT clients will be enrolled this coming month.
A special thanks to all the efforts of Dr David Basangwa whose dream this is has now become a reality.
